itron SMART TFT Demonstration Videos
Here is a selection of videos
demonstrating the capabilities of the itron SMART TFT programming language.
itron SMART TFT Graph Application 4.3"
In this demonstration we show you how the iSMART TFT can be used to
draw graphs.
In this example we have connected a potentiometer to one the analogue inputs.
This creates a 3.2V swing the TFT then traces this voltage onto the graph.
On the right hand side of the graph is a maximum and minimum voltage which
is worked out from the graph as well as an instantaneous voltage.
This demonstration also has the ability to change the colour of the graph
using the styles.

from the Project Examples section
itron SMART TFT Multi
Language Keyboard Application 4.3"
In this demonstration I will show you how the itron SMART TFT can be used
with a multi language keyboard.
In this example we have used the multi language keyboard project, this is an
extension of the basic keyboard.
The project acts as a simple keyboard to enter the selected value into the
KeyData variable, this would allow the user to pass this variable throughout
the project.
Once a key is pressed a small bubble appears to show the key selected. It
then adds this value to the variable at the top.
Some values have additional options such as accents to access these values
press the desired key for 1 second, a pop up bubble will then appear wit the
options. To select one of these options just press the desired value.
The pop up option will disappear if no option is selected.

itron SMART TFT Analogue
Clock Application 4.3"
In this demonstration we show you how the itron SMART TFT can be used with
the Real Time Clock, Real Time Alarm and Timers.
This demonstration also illustrates the ability to use calculations and draw
commands in a loop to represent the time in an analogue format.
To change the real time clock you need to touch the clock, a menu will
appear to show the date and time, edit these by using the plus and minus
keys once completed press save or you can return without accepting changes
by pressing exit.
The demonstration also use the real time alrm which can be set up by
pressing the alarm status button, the setup page will then appear.
Once the alarm is set the alarm icon will appear next to the time and the
alarm time will be visible, to turn off the alarm press the alarm status
button.
To set a timer you can press the desired timer button, once selected the
timer icon will appear next to the time, to cancel the timer press the timer
icon.
This demonstration as well as all the others on this page can be downloaded
from the example project section.
itron SMART TFT Drag and Drop Application 4.3"
In this demonstration we show you how the itron SMART TFT can be used to
drag and drop objects around the display.
The itron SMART TFT moves the position selected item to the coordinates where you
touched the screen.
This demonstration has two modes, the free mode where you have the ability
to move in the x and y axis, and the align mode where the y axis is fixed.
This attribute is useful if you wish to create sliding bars.
This demonstration as well as all the others on this page can be downloaded
from the Project Examples section
itron SMART TFT I2C Sensor Application 4.3"
In this demonstration we show you how the itron SMART TFT can be used with
sensors.
In this example we have a board with an accelerometer, light sensor and
temperature sensor on it connected to the I²C port. As well as two
potentiometers connected to the ADC inputs.
The accelerometer controls the movement in the X and Y axis of the blue
circle within the rectangle on the right hand side of the display.
The temperature and light sensors show their respective outputs in the
squares in the centre. By using the itron
SMART TFT Calc function it is possible
to show these outputs on different scales and we can change the scale by
touching the reading.
The two potentiometers create a swing in the voltage and the itron SMART
TFT represents these by the two bars on the left hand side of the
display.

from the Project Examples section
itron SMART TFT Network
Demonstration 4.3"
In this demonstration I will show you how the itron SMART TFT can be connected to
a LAN Network. In this example a TDXTRACT G3 LAN Ethernet port is connected
to the Async port which is connector 3 on the itron SMART TFT.
We have connected both itron SMART TFT's to the network by using an Ethernet
cable connected to these ports.
The first step is to decide which module will be the host, to set a module
as the host press the mode button, the status will then read 'Host Mode'.
The next step is to set up the IP address and port of the module and the
module you wish to connect to.
To obtain the IP address of the module on the network press 'Set IP' a
keypad will then appear where you can enter the IP address. To obtain the
current IP address press 'Obtain IP' you can then enter this and press
apply, you will then need to enter the port number.
You will need to do this on both modules.
You will then need to connect the modules to do this click on the connect
button on the host module, the status will then read 'Connected' and the
connect button will disappear.
Once Connected the LED indicator and keyboard chat will be enabled. The LED
indicator will change the colour of the LED on both displays when the switch
or the indicator is pressed.
To activate the chat mode you will need to press the green keyboard button,
once pressed both modules will display the keyboard, you can then enter
messages which will appear in the top left box and on the press of the enter
key it will send to the other display and show up in the right box,
the close key will close both modules chat mode.
The project also has a multi-lingual instruction panel on the left hand
side, to change the language press the flag of the desired language and the
instructions will translate
